Alexander Janczyk, 92, of Wethersfield, CT passed away peacefully and close to his family on October 22, 2014 at Holy Cross Hospital in SIlver Spring, MD. Born December 27, 1921, son of Felix and Anna Janczyk, he grew up in Granby and spent most of his adulthood in Wethersfield. He was a graduate of The University of Hartford where he studied engineering and became an electrical engineer for the telephone company. Al was a WWII veteran and proudly served the US Army infantry. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, companion and uncle and leaves his brother John E Janczyk, grandson Brian Pilch, fiance Jean Soroko and loving nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral held 10 am Friday October 31, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Dean Hwy, Wethersfield, CT; Burial with military honors immediately following at Rose Hill Cemetery, 580 Elm St Wethersfield, CT. Calling hours will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home Thursday, October 30, 2014 6-8 pm.
