A Celebration of Life for Kenneth Klement, 75, of Hood, is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Gourley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2 at Hood Cemetery with Fr. Ken Robinson officiating.

Mr. Klement passed away January 28, 2017 in Muenster.

Kenny was born September 10, 1941 in Gainesville to Edgar Edward and Rose (Sandmann) Klement. He married Mary Bierschenk on July 1, 1961 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Valley View. Kenny was a life-long dairy farmer. He always worked for what he believed in. Kenny promoted soil and water conservation by serving on many committees, including the Cooke County Water Board. He challenged legislature to preserve the integrity of the land and he never hesitated to speak his mind. Kenny helped those who needed it and in recent years was a board member of Muenster Memorial Hospital, a post he took great pride in. Many people called him a friend. He will be sincerely missed.

Survivors include: wife Mary Klement of Hood; son John Klement and wife Suzy of Gainesville; daughter Carol Krebs of Lindsay; son Bryan Klement and wife Angie of Gainesville; son Keith Klement and wife Mardi of Gainesville; son Daniel Klement of Gainesville; daughter Jane Robinson and husband Scott of Whitesboro; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Ronald Klement of Gainesville; brother Robert Klement and wife Gloria of Muenster; brother Leon Klement and wife Christi of Muenster; and many other beloved family members.

Kenny was preceded in death by: his parents; brother Glenn Klement; and nephew Travis Klement.

Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Muenster Memorial Hospital and Hood Cemetery.
