Joseph C. Filarski age 97, died Friday February 3, 2017 at the Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Utica Michigan. Joseph was born March 21, 1919 in Detroit Michigan the son of the late Joseph Casimer Filarski and the late Helena (nee Steinhebel) Filarski.
Joseph's career led him into the world of automotive... He worked and retired as a Tool & Die maker for Ford Motor Company.
Joseph Filarski was the beloved father of Ronald (Janis) Filarski, Cheryl Filarski, Beverly (Robert) Wozniak, the late Gary Filarski and the late Gloria James. He was the dear grandfather of Michael, David, Christina, Clifton, Ashley, Emily, Deanna, Andrew, and Great-grandfather of Ginger, Rosie & Sophia.
Visitation for Mr. Filarski will be held Tuesday from 3-9pm with an evening Vigil at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road. Mr. Filarski will lie in state Wednesday 9:30am at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21100 Madison St, St Clair Shores, MI 48081, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10am.
