Daisy Charlotte (Robson) Oelschlaeger died March 1, 2017. She was 94. Born on October 2, 1922 in Mayetta KS to Charles Frederick Robson and Alta Ilene (Johnson) Robson, she had one younger brother, Burt Amos Robson, who preceded her in death. Though named for her maternal grandmother (Daisy Anne McGuire), Charlotte preferred her middle name. She was honored to be valedictorian for her high school graduating class.

On July 4, 1942, Charlotte married Max Frederick Oelschlaeger. During his service in World War II, they lived briefly in KS, TX, FL, MO and NJ. In 1953, they settled in Cedar Rapids IA to raise their family of four boys. They enjoyed playing golf together, participating in bridge clubs and being active members in their church. Charlotte also served as a hospital volunteer and loved playing her piano.

After their boys were grown, the couple moved to Denton TX. Surrounded by family in 1992, they celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary. Widowed in 2008, Mrs. Oelschlaeger moved from Denton to Springdale AR where she enjoyed the congenial residential atmosphere of the Gardens at Arkanshire. In August 2016, she moved to Walnut Grove Nursing Home.

Mrs. Oelschlaeger is survived by four sons: Max Frederick Oelschlaeger, Dennis Lee Oelschlaeger, Steven Dale Oelschlaeger and Douglas Robert Oelschlaeger. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time. To view the Book of Memories and/or sign the guestbook, please visit the website for Westfield Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial celebration of her life and legacy will take place this summer when her sons, their extended families and friends mark the 75th anniversary of Max and Charlotte's marriage.
