Mrs. Slates, age 56, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2017, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Flint on July 10, 1960, to the late Clifford Sr. & Bertha (Conklin) Schwerin.
She married Benjamin Slates on October 30, 1982 in Rhodes, he survives her.
She enjoyed hunting, mushroom picking, an occasional trip to the casino and being with her family.
Surviving besides her husband are their children, Daniel & Tanya Slates and Stacey (Jason Mosher) Slates; grandchildren Tayanna Slates, Edwin Williams, Dawson Bush, Sarah-Beth Bush, Daniel Slates and Araya Slates; her siblings Clifford Jr & Jane Schwerin, Bill Schwerin, Dennis & Jennell Schwerin, Darren Schwerin and Karie & Chris Schwerin.
A celebration of Life will be held Monday March 13, 2017 at 7 pm at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Homes-PINCONNING CHAPEL with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding with inurnment in Mt. Forest Township Cemetery. Family will be present at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 7 pm.
