Mary Ann, 88, Maria Stein, died at Otterbein Retirement Center.
She was the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Luebke) Lochtefeld. On May 24, 1950, in Chickasaw, she married Paul E. Kremer, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are six sons: Nick (Lois), Ft. Recovery, John (Donna), New Bremen, Charles (Phyllis), Minster, Dennis (Sharon), Maria Stein, Vernon (Anita), Chickasaw, and Michael, Mendon; a daughter, Rev. Teresa Wenrick, Delta; and eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons and four brothers, all linked below; and a great-grandchild.
A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, she was a lector a CCD teacher and member of St. Ann’s Ladies Sodality. She was also a member of Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Maria Stein Retreat House. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a true prayer warrior.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, with Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
