Jane Elizabeth ("Jenny") Saemann was the only daughter of John M. & Catherine Brazelton Saemann. She married Harry E. Thomas of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. They had no children. They raised orphaned relatives Willard Thomas and Mary Brazelton. Both she and Harry were active in civic affairs.
Jennie was Republican Nat'l. Committeewoman 1928-1944 and among other activities was state president of the League of Women Voters and, as such, was one year a guest at the White House for the national presidents of the League. For many years she was state president of The King's Daughters, and for several years was the manager of their home.
Jennie E. Saemann Thomas died on 8 January 1946 at Sheboygan WI. She was 73 years old. She was buried in the Family Plot at Wildwood Cemetery, 2026 New Jersey Avenue, Sheboygan, WI 53081. Plot: E1/2, Lot 34, Block 7. She was my Great Aunt.
