Mrs. Christine Kamlah (nee Yakovenko) passed away at the Coronation Health Care Centre on July 18, 1998 at the age of 80 years after a lengthy Illness. Christine was bom to Andrew and Dora Yakovenko on August 16, 1917 at Llzzard Lake, Sask. She grew up with her three sisters near Buffalo Gap, Sask. In 1933 she moved to Byemore, Alberta, where she met George. They were married In 1934 and settled on a farm In the Lacombe District and were blessed with four daughters. Christine was predeceased by her husband George; her mother and father; and one sister Katherine Granville. She is survived by her sisters; Eva Nelson of Plcton, Ontario, Sally Granville of Coronach, Sask.; four daughters Millie Masson of Red Deer, Eileen (Neil) Pickering of Calgary, Louise (Harry) Deacon of Coronation and Shirley (Larry) Phillips of Edmonton; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter (Kodle Lynn); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 5128-53 Street, Lacombe, on Wednesday, July 22, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Father Clement Gauthier celebrant. Interment will follow In the Lacombe Falrvlew Cemetery. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Alberta, 218, 2323-32 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 6Z3, or the charity of the donors choice.
