Chris Harm, 75 years old, for many years a leading farmer of Flatrock township, passed away this morning at his home, one-half mile south of Clifford, his death following a short illness of a complication of diseases. Mr. Harm had been in ill health for more than a year. He was in the hospital here for treatment for several weeks last winter but recovered sufficiently to be up and about his home. He was feeling as well as usual yesterday morning when he was taken suddenly ill and his condition gradually grew weaker until death came.
Mr. Harm was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harm. Before he was a year old the family moved to this county, locating in the Clifford neighborhood. He took up farming at an early age and continued in that work throughout his life. He was a member of the Clifford Methodist Church and was well known in the county and a highly esteemed man.
Mr. Harm was married early in life to Miss Catherine Wagner, of west of this city, and the widow and six children survive. They are Henry Harm, Mrs. Anna Brown, Mrs. Lillian O'Hearn, Chris Harm, Jr., all of Indianapolis; Arthur Harm, of Pittsburgh, and Miss Elizabeth Harm, who teaches in the Columbus schools.
Funeral services will be held at the home, conducted by the Rev. H.E. Smith, pastor of the Taylorsville charge. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
