Mrs. Anna Brackman, of St. Joe, Succumbs
Dies Following Long Illness; Funeral Services held Monday
Mrs. Anna C. Brackman, wife of John D. Brackman, of St. Joe, died at her home here Friday of last week, following a long illness. Death was attributed to diabetis and congestion of the lungs. She had been in ill health for about five years.
The deceased was born on May 12, 1865, at Wendelin, O, the daughter of the late John and Christina Koening Guggenbiller. She was 71, years, 2 months, and 5 days of age at her death. On June 17, 1890, she united in marriage with John D. Brackman at Wendelin, who survives with her family she had lived at St. Joe for the past 43 years.
Mrs. Brackman was a devout member os St. Joseph's Catholic Church at St. Joe and was a member of the Christian Mother's organization of that group.
Besides the husband she is survived by the following children; Mrs. Joe Geire, Maria Stein, O; Willbald Brackman, St. Joe, Eulalia Brackman, Dayton, O; Mrs. Joe Reinhard, St. Joe; Mrs. Leo Nieberding, Fort Recovery, and Florenz Brackman at home. One sister Mrs. Jacob Rindler, St. Henry, also survives. She has twenty two grandchildren. Two daughters Rose and Christine Brackman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Monday morning from the St. Joe Church with the Rev. M.J. Schmitt, C.PP.S. officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
