Teresa Rae Acord Whaley of Oxford, Arkansas

Teresa Rae Acord Whaley, daughter of the late Donald Ray Acord and Inez Lorraine Farrell Acord, was born October 28, 1957 in Danville, Illinois. She departed this life June 6, 2017 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 9 days. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. Her working years were spent as a property manager. She was an excellent cook and often catered events. She enjoyed gardening and canning the things she grew. She loved to camp and be in the outdoors. She was of the Protestant faith.

Teresa is survived by one son: Donny Harrison McQueen of Oxford; one daughter: Lisa Whaley Wilson of Homer, Illinois; one brother and sister-in-law: Michael Acord and Tammy Hawkins of Danville, Illinois, one sister and brother-in-law: Christine and Michael Cosat of Georgetown, Illinois; two grandchildren: Curtis McQueen, Caleb McQueen and Jasmine Edenburn; one great great grandson: John Carl Edenburn and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband: Timothy Whaley; one brother: Mickey Darwin Acord and one daughter-in-law: Crystal McQueen.

The family will be conducting a graveside memorial service will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Conyers Cemetery.
