Robert "Bob" Raemisch, age 86, of Waunakee, passed away peacefully in God's arms on May 25, 2015, at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. Bob was a lifelong resident of Waunakee, most recently at Artisan Assisted Living in Middleton. He was born on October 26, 1928, to Franklin and Lillian Raemisch. Bob and his wife, Betty, were united in holy matrimony on May 11, 1950, at St John's Church. They raised five children together. Bob was an active member of St John's parish for his entire adult life. Bob's loving wife, Betty, preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2015. Bob was the president of F. H. Raemisch & Sons, Inc. road construction firm. Bob took the reins of the company while still a young man following the sudden loss of his father, Franklin. Bob worked with all his brothers and eventually his sons worked alongside them. Bob was a lifetime member of the Operating Engineers union, local 139. Bob was a proud member of the Waunakee Volunteer Fire Department eventually attaining the rank of Captain. Bob served the department for over thirty years. Bob and Betty were both well- known members of several RV clubs. Bob enjoyed traveling in his RV Camper to campgrounds all over Wisconsin and to Florida and other sunny locales in the winter. Many will remember Bob driving his Model T Ford around town and in parades. Family was always important to Bob and he was happiest when surrounded by family.

Bob's family includes his late wife, Betty; five children, Jeanne (Christopher) Cera, David"Sprocket" (Mary), Rick (Marge), Stephen "Duke" (Theresa), and Nancy (Christopher) Krug; grandchildren, Natalie (Donald) Tubbs, Audrey (Jorge) Proano, Robbie and Carmen Krug, Gayle (Larry) Paul, Matt and Jesse Bowman, and Kristin (Ryan) Machkovech; great-grandchildren, Madysen and Lauryn Paul, Jason Bowman, and Tyrion Machkovech; and two wonderful newborn great-granddaughters, Carly Tubbs and Norah Machkovech; his siblings, Franklin (Marlene) and Laverne "Butch" (Darlene); special cousins Dean & Mary Hein; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn (Walter) Maly & Evangeline and brother, Donald.
