married Caroline, Raatz, Dec. 3, 1915 in Little Falls, Minn. The couple came to Water- loo in 1927.
Mr. Dietz had been an employe of the John Deere Co. for 28 years before retiring in February, 1959.
Mr. Dietz, a member of Im- manuel Lutheran church, is survived by a son, LeRoy. of 210 Lane St.; two daughters. Mrs. Paul Christiansen, of 1029 Kingsley Ave., and Mrs. Virgil Stahlhut, of Rochester, Minn., a brother, Walter, of Mason City, 111., a sister, Mrs. Hinz, along with five grandchildren.
