Clemens Michael Federer, age 95, passed away on Saturday November 2, 2013 at the Felician Village St. Mary's Nursing Center in Manitowoc. Clem was born on January 14, 1918 in the town of Sheboygan. He was the eldest of four children of Henry and Catherine (Ardts) Federer. Clem graduated from Kohler High School with the class of 1935.Clem married Angeline (Mersberger) in October of 1940. They had two sons, James Clemens and Daniel Henry Federer. Clem was employed at Kohler Company following high school until the strike in the 1950's. He moved to Milwaukee and was employed by GM Delco Electronics for 21 years as a steamfitter.Clem married Elsie (Schindel) Weinberger in 1970 whom he met during the Kohler strike. In retirement, Clem and Elsie lived on Mirror Lake near Rhinelander, WI. After Elsie's death in 1984 Clem married Marcella (Schindel) Jacobson in 1985. After Marcella's retirement, they lived on Crescent Lake near Rhinelander until they moved to Felician Village in Manitowoc in 1997.Clem enjoyed fishing, traveling to western states including Alaska, woodworking, the Packers and Brewers and playing cards. He was an expert sheepshead player and passed the love of the game onto his sons and grandchildren. Clem was generous and loving and loved to have a good time. He will be missed.Clem is survived by one son and daughter-in-law James and Janet Federer, Cedar Rapids, IA; one brother and sister-in-law Jerome and Marjorie Federer, Agoura Hills, CA; a step-daughter Jeanine (Charley) Dickey, Vermillion, OH; step-sons Kenneth (Andrea) Weinberger, Rotunda West, FL, Ralph (Gloria) Weinberger, OR, Ronald (Joanne) Jacobson, Milwaukee; daughter-in-law Marg Federer, Shoreline, WA; and grandchildren Teresa (Peter Levinson) Federer, Erik (Amy) Federer, Joel (Carrie) Federer, Diana (Manish) Jyoti, Jennifer (Kevin) Stein, Tamara (Chris) Stein, Lynn (Craig) Peterson, Renee (J.D.) Weinberger, John Weinberger, Johnette (Gregorio) Weinberger, Gena (Sherman) Weinberger-Caruthers, and 29 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews. A special nephew is Donald (Sheryl) Lau, Sheboygan Falls.Clem is preceded in death by his parents, wives, son Daniel, grandson Mark Federer, brother, Hilary, and sister Lorraine Lau. burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.
