Loving husband of Jana Liebl Witney. Big hearted dad of Tina Witney (Matt Schwark), Maria (Emanuele) Conti and John "Jack" Witney. Adoring grandpa of Alexander, Olivia and Nicholas. Dear brother of Charlotte (the late Gerry) Bauer, Sharon (Allen) Schickowski, Bob (Suzanne) Witkowski and Gary (Karen) Witkowski.
Preceded in death by his parents Ben and Bernice Witkowski and siblings; Carol (the late Moe) Leikness, Gene Witkowski and Jim (Lori) Witkowski.
Further loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John enjoyed golf, sheepshead, cribbage, his gun club, the time he spent with his amputee support group and his role as peer counselor.
