Gus Jochem Died Monday
Gustav Jochem, 71, passed away suddenly at his home here Monday night. Final rites will be conducted by the Rev. Alvin Lade at the Lutheran church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in the Ainsworth cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Lena: eight daughters, Mrs. Andrew Gudgel, Springview; Mrs. Ruth Lensch, Wayne; Martha Jochem, Omaha; Mrs. Wesley Heerten, Springview; Mrs. Carl Griesy, Rock Springs, Iowa; Mrs. Bradley Haller, Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. Aynsley Haller, Casper, Wyo.; and Judy Jochem, Northfield, Minn.; one son Joseph, Huntington Park, Calif.; fifteen grandchildren; one sister and four brothers.

Obituary of Gustav Jochem
Gustav Jochem was born on March 21, 1890, near Danzig, Germany. He was the son of Gustav Jochem and Henriette Gruebnau Jochem. He came to the United States Oct. 2, 1906, landing at Baltimore, MD. He worked in Chicago for three years after which he came to Buffalo county in Nebraska. On October 16, 1918, he was married to Lena Jochem of Brewster. He farmed near Brewster until 1935, at which time he and his family moved to Ainsworth.

He is survived by his wife Lena, eight daughters, one son and fifteen grandchildren. His children are Mrs. Andrew Gudgel of Springview, Mrs. Ruth Lensch of Wayne, Martha of Omaha, Mrs. Wesley Heerten of Springview, Mrs. Carl Griesy of Rock Springs, Iowa, Mrs. Bradley Haller of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Aynsley Haller, Casper, Wyo., Judith Jochem of Northfield, Minn., and Joseph, Huntington Park, Calif.
He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Wm. Reese of Ravenna, and four brothers, Geo. Of Ravenna, Karl of Billings, Mont., Samuel of Amherst, and Jacob of Poole.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Justine.

He was baptized in the Lutheran Church in infance.
