Peter Hoogland Sr

Peter Hoogland Sr, 78, of 103 West 14th, charter member of St Willibrord church, died Wednesday, Jan 5, at his home. His death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Born at Nibbexwoud, Hollad, he had been residing in this community for the past 62 years. He was a plastering contractor.

Mr. Hoogland was the husband of Mary, nee Bemmsterboer; father of Bert, George, Peter Jr and Mina; and brother of Anna Van Deering, Katherine Rowland, George and the late John, Nicholas, and Catherine Bransen.

The deceased was a member of St Willibrord Couty, No 1324, Catholic Order of Foresters, St Willibrord's Society; San Salvador Council No 1262, Knights of Columbs, and the Holy Name Society of St Willibrord Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan 8 from the Conney Mortuary to St Willibrard's church where a requim mass was solemnized at 9:30am by the Reb F X Exler. Internment was in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
