She was born on October 4, 1913 in Santaquin, Utah, a daughter of George R. and Mary Ahlin Hudson. She married Douglas Harrison on April 3, 1937 in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Opal was an active outdoor person. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, farming, hunting, and fishing. She also loved traveling in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S.A. with her husband, Doug. She always liked the extended family around her and also several of her "3rd sons", as she called them. She loved music and it kept her whistling all through life.
She is survived by her husband of Orem; two sons: Dennis Harrison of Renton, Washington; Jim Harrison of Orem, Utah; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Leola Hanney of Modesto, California. She was preceded in death by one brother, Alan Hudson, and one sister, Utahna Kofford.
Funeral services were held April 26, 1994 at the Berg Mortuary of Orem. Interment was in Orem City Cemetery.
