CALVIN C. RHODES
Mr. Rhodes, 63, of Johnstown died Wednesday, June 12, 1991, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.
Known as Cubby, Mr. Rhodes retired as supervisor from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
He was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Johnstown, the son of Ralph Waldo and Sarah Grace (Davis) Rhodes, and was twice married: first to Patricia B. Litz, who preceded him in
death, and then to Sara M. Leon.
Surviving are his wife, two children: Calvin C. Jr. of Lititz and Trudy Dilling of New Enterprise; and two granddaughters.
Also surviving are four sisters and a brother: Alice Mosholder of Everett, Faye Vorhauer of Summerhill, Garnet Croyle and Forrest of Johnstown, Lurane Hunter of Mendota Heights, Minn.
Mr. Rhodes was a life member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, Johnstown.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at William T. Hindman Funeral Home, Johnstown.
RHODES - Services for Calvin C. "Cubby" Rhodes of Johnstown will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, Johnstown, by the Rev. Dr. Cecil D. Hess. Interment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery, Johnstown. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at William T. Hindman Funeral Home, 146 Chandler Ave., Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Pleasant Hill
Church of the Brethren or American Cancer Society. Preceded in death by a his parents and a brother, J. Melvin.
