Born Helena Mary "Lena" Krug in 1863 to John Krug and Anna Mary Demler/Demmler in New York state.
Her first husband was Thomas White, with whom she had at least one child, Cathryn, in March of 1883.
She was widowed and married Gerhard G. Finney on 2 May 1886 in Houghton county, Michigan. With Gerhard she had Lillie, Anna, Joseph, Antony, Albert, Arthur, William, Theresa, Margaret and several children that died young. Gerhard died in 1903.
By 1920 she had married again, this time to Mose Fourbert/Faubert, and had moved to Toledo, Ohio, where at least some of her children had resettled. She died in 1930 and was buried as Lena Finney. After her death, Mose lived with her son, William Finney.
