She was born in Kahler, Russia, September 10, 1877.
Sue is survived by two sons; John E. Gareis of Wamego, Andrew Gareis of Westmoreland; and two daughters, Miss Lena Gareis of the home and Miss Marie Gareis of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Gottlieb Macht of Julesberg, Colorado; eleven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gareis, a daughter Sister Georgina, O.S.B.:, a son Leo J. Gareis, and a daughter, Mrs Elizabeth Richmond.
Rosary will be recited at Stewart Memorial Chapel this evening at 7:15 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be conducted by the Rev. J. E. Biehler, at 9 a. m. Saturday at the St. Joseph's Church in Flush. Burial will be at the Flush Cemetery.
