Mrs. Walterman was a former resident of Quincy, and is well known here, and the news of her death will be received with sincere regret by all who knew her.
Mrs. Walterman was Miss Elizabeth Niehaus, daughter of the late John P. and Catherine Niehaus, of this city. She was born and reared here, leaving with her husband about nine years ago, for Hannibal, where they have resided ever since.
She was about 40 years of age. She was a devout Catholic, a devoted wife and mother, and a woman who commanded the highest esteem of all who knew her. She had a sweet and lovable disposition, which endeared her to scores of friends. Before her marriage, the deceased was for a number of years a trusted employee of the W. T. Duker company.
She is survived by her husband, who is foreman in the railroad shops at Hannibal; two daughters aged 7 and 5 years, and one son aged six months. Besides, she leaves three sisters: Mary and Rose Niehaus, and Mrs. Herman Schullian, and one niece Catherine Niehaus, all of Quincy.
The remains will be brought to Quincy, and buried here.
