WEDDINGS
The picturesque weddings at the Synagogue are always of interest to friends, and a recent one, that of Arthur, only son, of Mr. and Mrs. L. Goodman, of Warsaw, to Kitty, third daughter of Mrs. S. Lewis and the late Mr. L. Lewis, of London, was attended by many friends. The Rev. Rabbi Katz performed the ceremony. The bride was in a graceful gown of ivory satin, cut on the new silhouette lines, the bodice being embroidered in the form of a true lover's knot in diamante and crystal. The wedding veil was of fine Brussels lace, and the bride carried a beautiful sheaf of lilies. The bridesmaid, Miss Zena Goodman, wore a becoming picture frock of cornflower blue net, her hat of crinoline straw being to tone, and her bouquet of delphiniums and roses was a charming finish to her costume. The best man was Mr. Harold S. Lewis, and the bride's sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Treister, the latter being handsomely gowned in an ensemble of amethyst silk marocain, and with a bowler hat and feather of the same tone. A reception was held at the Oriental Room at the Ritz, where the guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Bert. Cowan and Mr. and Mrs. Treister. Mrs. Cowan was in a blue floral frock and a coatee of ninon, her hat matching her frock. (Evening Post, Jan. 6, 1932)
