Howard "Tommy" Thompson, 72, of One Hughes St., Cave Spring, died Friday afternoon in a Cedartown nursing care facility. A native of Clarksville, he was born June 27, 1932 son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Thompson. He was an Air Force Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict, was formerly associated with the Goodyear Mills and was also a self employed construction contractor and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two sons, Michael Thompson and Ellis Thompson, both of Cedartown; one daughter, Judy Kay Pawlik of Houston, Texas and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 10 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of John House's Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Whitworh officiating. Interment followed in the Cave Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Thompson, Ellis Thompson, Bobby Heath, Ralph Heath, Manley Casey, Dewell Lindsey, Gayle Godfrey, Bobby Beard, Don Hanna and Harold Green.
