Our beloved ancestor JOHN DILLON, along with his beautiful bride MARY WELCH, braved famine and discrimination in Ireland. Armed with only their faith and courage, they came across the sea 1849--51 and settled in the Catskill Mountains of New York. They bought a small farm in Mongaup Valley, New York and together raised a large family, which we are proud, blessed and grateful to be a part of.
