She married George Humphrey Jr. on August 20, 1957 in Hastings and settled on a farm in Freeport. They adopted and raised 4 children who survive.
She gardened and canned food from the garden while raising her family and loved reading, crocheting and needle point.
Surviving are her children, Dennis (Pamela), Brian (Kimberly), Janet (Henry) Vasquez and Linda (Jeffrey) Vasquez; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, George Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Tibby Wheat; brother, Edward Brinker; granddaughter, Mariah Lloyd.
