Melanie S. Kreiser, age 54 of Gap, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Saturday, January 20, 2018. She was the loving wife of Douglas B. Kreiser with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage on June 11th. She was born in Coatesville, daughter of George W. Shank husband of Patricia Coffroad Shank of Gap and the late L. Ruth McManus wife of Richard McManus of Lancaster. She was a member of Gateway Church of Parkesburg. She graduated from Octorara High School class of 1982. She worked for Urban Outfitters of Gap. She enjoyed being involved with two ladies Bible studies, her Wine and Dine Club, reading, shopping especially for shoes, spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren's soccer games. She enjoyed evenings on her deck with a glass of wine and a good book.
Also surviving are 2 daughters: Amanda wife of Matthew Culp of Paradise, Andrea Kreiser fiancée of Dakota Reed, Sr. of Ephrata, 6 grandchildren: Noah, Carlee & Evan Culp, Dakota, Dallas & Delilah Reed, 2 sisters: Melissa Bare of Exton, Michele Quigley of Lancaster.
Funeral service will take place at the First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA on Friday, January 26th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. There will also be a viewing at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Pastors Clint Shondelmyer and Scott Feather will be officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
