MARY R. Lane, 87, entered Eternal Life Monday, January 22, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mary was born to the late Mark and Annamary Philamena Rooney in Fairview, Kansas. She will be remembered for her incredible outlook on life, her extensive travels in life, and her generous heart. She was a tremendous wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was Catholic by faith and a devoted member of St. Paul’s Catholic Center during her time spent in Bloomington, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Dr. N. Gary Lane; siblings, Fred Rooney, Isabell Showman, Lee Rooney, Dorothy Rooney, and George “Ned” Rooney.

Survivors include her children, Charles E. Lane (Joyce), Ann R. McCandless (Garry), and Susan L. Lane (Anthony G. Casebeer); and grandchildren, Aurora E. Lane, David G. Lane, and Mary McCandless.

Visitation will be (was) held 9:30- 10:45 a.m. Friday at Nazareth Home, 2000 Newburg Road – Louisville. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Nazareth Home, with burial to follow 2:30 p.m. in Valhalla Memorial Gardens – Bloomington, Indiana.
