Mrs. Jacob Kiefer, of Preble Township, Died This Afternoon
WAS ILL TWO WEEKS
Of Paralysis—Was Seventy-nine Years of Age—Well Known Lady
Mrs. Jacob Kiefer, aged seventy-nine , well known lady of Preble township, died this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Christ Schakel, of Preble township. Death was due to paralysis and followed a two weeks’ illness. When she became ill she was taken to the daughter’s home that better care might be taken of her and it was there that death ensued.
Mrs. Kiefer is survived by the husband and four children; Otto Kiefer, Decatur; Mrs. Christ Schakel, Mrs. Henry Fuhrman, Martin Kiefer. A son, Christ Kiefer, died this spring.
Mrs. Kiefer became worse this afternoon and the son, Otto, from this city, with others of the near relatives responded to a call to come at once and they were with her when she died.
