John Werling, Member of Freidheim Lutheran Parish, Passes Away

AT EARLY HOUR TODAY

Was Eighty-five Years of Age--Funeral Will be Friday Afternoon

John Werling, aged eight-five years, died this morning at five o'clock at the home of his son, Charles Werling in Wells county (Jefferson township). He had been in ailing health for a long time from infirmities of age, but has been bedfast only since yesterday.

The deceased was born in Germany (Lambsheim) but came to the states at the age of seven years, settling with his parents in Ohio (Near Pomeroy, Meigs county), after which they moved to Adams county (Preble township) and finally to Wells county (Jefferson township).

He was a member of the Freidheim Lutheran parish and it is at that church the funeral will be held Friday afternoon after the service at 1:30 o'clock at the home.

The deceased leaves twenty-four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, besides the following children; Charles, of Wells county; George, of Bethlehem (near Tocsin); William, Mrs. Susie Bruick, Gust, of New Haven; Fred of Fort Wayne.
