Yakima -- Barbara A. Stephens, formerly of Wapato, passed away November 27, 2009 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was born October 8, 1925 in Rupert, Idaho to John and Kathryn Schell, the last of nine children.
She is survived by her daughters: Sandra (Sandee) Hodkinson (John) of Union Gap and Myrna Knoeb of Tukwila; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her sons, David C. Van Nostern and Edward C. Christie; four sisters and two brothers.
Memorial Services will be held Sat., Dec. 5, 2009 at 4 p.m. at United Christian Church, 317 South 41st Street in Yakima (Terrace Heights). Valley Hills Funeral Home, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.
