Notes: Rites Set for Early Polish Settler, 89. Funeral services for Albert Nowak, 89, one of the city's early Polish settlers, will be held tomorrow at 11:30 a. m. at St. Stanislaus' Catholic Church, E. 65th Street and Forman Avenue S. E. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Nowak died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Josephine Faldowski, 5718 Harvard Avenue S. E., with whom he lived. Less than a dozen Polish families lived in the city when Mr. Nowak came here from Poland more than 60 years ago. A charter member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, he was active in many of the leading Polish organizations here. (over)[incomplete notice on microfilm]
