David M. Myszka
David M. Myszka, 64, 3001 N. Ninth St., Wausau, died Monday, October 30, 2000, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1936, in Marenisco, Michigan, son of the late Michael and Frances (Soczka) Myszka. He married Mary Webb on August 7, 1982, in Plymouth, Wisconsin. She survives.

David attended St. Michael Catholic School and was a 1954, graduate of Wausau Senior High School. On June 8, 1954, he entered the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the 4th Fighter Bomber Wing. While stationed in Japan he served on the Ski Patrol. He earned the national Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal during his enlistment. He was honorably honorably discharged from the service on November 15, 1957, having attained the rank of Airman First Class. Following his proud service to our nation, Dave attended and graduated from NCTI, Wausau, with a degree in accounting. From August 1, 1966, until the present he was employed by Riiser Energy. He was a member of the Wisconsin Petroleum Association, the Wisconsin State Board of Oil Jobbers and the Wausau Oil Dealers Association.

Dave enjoyed the outdoors and participated participated in several sporting activities. A favorite was downhill skiing. He was a frequent medalist in the Badger State Games. He also was an avid snowmobile snowmobile racer. For several years he competed competed throughout the state of Wisconsin, winning numerous trophies. He also enjoyed deer and fowl hunting, traveling traveling and always "attempted to master the game of golf" As an accomplished handyman and jack-of-all-trades, he completed many projects at home and at the cottage in Tomahawk. He also looked forward to the next great find while antiquing. Accomplished in the art of crossword puzzles, Dave always completed his in ink.

Dave served in civic and fraternal organizations, including the Wausau Elk's Lodge and the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau. He was also a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus George Schreier Council No. 1069 and a member and past Faithful Navigator of the Pere Rene Menard General Assembly No. 1469 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Wausau.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, his children and his grandchildren; and one sister, Nancy (William) Johnson, Madison; a niece and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Kristian Evenson.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday November 3, 2000, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Very Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
