CHARLIE C. WHITE RITES AT HEBRON CHURCH

Funeral rites for Charlie C. White, 81, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, at the Hebron Baptist Church. The Rev. J. W. Grice, his pastor, was assisted in the services by the Revs. Ed Smith and Bill Crosby. Interment was in the church cemetery. The body remained at Stephens Funeral Home in Union until the service time.

Death came to Mr. White at the family residence, near Little Rock, Wednesday night, June 30, 1965. He was a retired farmer and cattleman, having lived an active and useful life in his community. His home was the one he settled in as a young man, and he was privileged to live there until his death. His wife, Mrs. Alice Walden White, preceded him in death about four years ago.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Willie L. Eshee of Little Rock and Mrs. C. A. Jones of Raleigh; one son, Charles S. (Jack) White, Union; two grandsons, Billy H. Eshee and Bobby C. Jones; three half-brothers, Amos White of Shreveport, La., Melvin and Lewis White of Little Rock; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ina Cooksey and Mrs. Lilian Smith, Little Rock; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pall bearers at the rites were J. P. White, Delmer E. Smith, J. C. McCorkle, Lonnie Rowzee, Hulon Harrison and Leon Cooksey.
