Mrs. Hefner Dies. 43 of Her Immediate Family Survive; Services Thursday.
Mrs. Barbara Hefner, 63, died Tuesday morning at her home, 127 Van Buren street.
She is survived by her husband, John Hefner, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. John Mauer, Mrs. Jacob Applenance [Appelhanz written in], Mrs. Henry Cromwell, and Mrs. Clarence Schoenfeldt; two sons, J. P. and Albert Hefner, all of Topeka; 32 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Casper Suppes of Topeka, and George Suppes of Portland, Ore.
Funeral services will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 8 o'clock Thursday morning. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home until the funeral hour.
