Rotterdam- Barbara A. Nikolaidis, 71, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Dyer. Barbara is survived by her husband of 48 years, Simeon Nikolaidis.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nicole Ostrander and grandson, Michael Ostrander, her siblings, Raymond Dyer Jr. (Joan), Paula Russell (Howard), James Dyer (Doris), and John Dyer. Barbara is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara worked at Price Chopper for 30 plus years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching the "birdies." What Barbara most enjoyed was spending time with family and friends, especially traveling with her husband, daughter and grandson, whom she adored; lunch dates with her brother and sister and many activities with "the girls" and her friends from the Rotterdam Senior Center.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:00am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
