Rites for Mrs. Emma Buettner of 230 Oakwood Avenue, widely known resident of the South Side, who died Tuesday, were conducted at 9 A.M. Friday at the home and at 9:30 A.M. at Saint Joseph's (German) Church, where the Rev. Paul Hemmer celebrated solemn high mass of requiem. The Rev. Norbert Schied was deacon and the Rev. Joseph Plocki sub-deacon. Bearers were Richard Buettner, Norbert Hartnett, Thomas Sheridan, Fred Ryan, Earl Lockner and Charles McKaig. Burial was at St. Agnes Cemetery.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Steenberg, Miss Emma B. Buettner and Mrs. Timothy M. Hartnett; four sons, August L., of Cortland, Theodore J., Peter O., and Joseph R. Buettner; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
