Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth; daughter, Charlotte (Cook and son, Jason), Christa (Donaldson, son, Ned (Juanita) and grandchildren, Keyara, Hailey and Tristen); son, Rudy (Iris) and grandchildren, Erik and Kara; sister, Zitta Kisslinger of New York; niece, Bernadette Fernath and sons, Michael and Joey; niece Ursula (Andy) Coughlin of New York; sister, Frieda Kachel (Erika Schmook, Sylvia and Eberhard Kohl, Christian and Elfriede Kachel) from Hamburg, Germany and other family members in Austria and California. Dad was a talented, generous and hard working man. He instilled his common sense philosophy with his family. If you can't afford it you don't need it he often said. He was an expert tailor who retired from the RCMP in 1984. Joe was a great handyman who enjoyed puttering around his house, his children's homes and was always willing to help his neighbors.
