Topeka State Journal, Thursday, Oct. 13, 1932, page 6:

Jacob Kippis, of Elmont, R.F.D. No. 1, died today at his home.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Kippis; three sons, Joseph, of Johnson, Kan.; William F., of Elmont, and George J., of Elmont; eight daughters, Mrs. George Baskel, of Chicago; Mrs. Fred Joflin, of Beulah, Ida.; Mrs. Carl J. Liker, of Johnson; Mrs. John Fphennfpile, of Dodge, Kan.; Mrs. Anthony Harold, of Victoria, Kan.; Mrs. Leonard Larlin, Johnson; Mrs. G.W. Welrey, of Belen, N.M.; and Mrs. Louis Durant, of Johnson, Kan; two brothers, Caspar Kippis, of Victoria, Kan.; and George Kippis, of Walker, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Chrift Vanvelt, of Sterling, Colo., and Sister Flaier, Muger, Kan.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at the St. Joseph Catholic church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home until the funeral home.
