Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta C. Howell, 91, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tessendorf Mortuary in Onaga with interment in the Wamego City Cemetery. Mrs. Howell died Friday in Community Hospital where she had been re-admitted a few days earlier. She had been a resident of Golden Acres Nursing Home since 1971.
She was born March 7, 1884, at Flush. She had lived in Topeka before coming to Onaga.
She was married October 8, 1908 to Quincy Howell. He died November 29, 1958. She was also preceded in death by a son, Fredrick Howell, who died in May 1942 in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.
Survivors include a son, Clarence Howell of Topeka; and two brothers, Christian Walter of Cassville; Mo., and Albert Walter of Wamego.
