SOUTH BEND Henrietta E. Bazyk, 69, of Burbank Avenue, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the home of her son on Ivy Road, after an illness. Mrs. Bazyk was born Dec. 24, 1923, in New Carlisle and was a lifelong area resident.
On Aug. 29, 1953, in Terre Coupee, as Henrietta Rzepka, she married Stanley Bazyk.
He survives with a son, Randy of South Bend; one grandson; two sisters, Irene Wojcik and Adeline Solmos, both of South Bend; and five brothers, Henry Rzepka of New Carlisle, Clem Rzepka, David Rzepka and Bernard Rzepka, all of South Bend, and Norbert Rzepka of Niles.
A grandson preceded her in death. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Moose Lodge 58 Auxiliary and Polish National Alliance Lodge 3078, New Carlisle. Services will be at 10 a m. Saturday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
