April Anne Damery Patient, 67, of Hammond, Illinois, passed away 10:17 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family and friends.
April was born August 25, 1951 in Decatur, the daughter of William Ross and Florence Marie Weybright Damery.
She had worked at Patient Equipment in Atwood and later had been a team member at Shopko and Reebok stores, both in Tuscola. April was a member of the Hammond United Methodist Church. April enjoyed golfing and was a former member of the Kaskaskia Country Club. She also hosted three foreign exchange students, Vicky, Faby and Karla Juarez from Guatemala whom she loved very much.
Survivors include her children, Donald ‘Mitch’ Patient of Springfield and Terra Rossanne Patient of Mahomet; grandchildren, Tyler Patient of Decatur and Nikolaus Patient of Mahomet; special nephew, Jay (Lorinda) Damery of Mt. Zion and their children Michael Mrotzek and Celene Damery; brothers, Phil (Linda) Damery of Forsyth and Randy (Debbie) Damery of Magnolia, Texas; sister, Billie Damery of Decatur and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dennis Damery.
