In 1868 he married Katharina Margaretha Stroh. His wife died in Aug 1933. They had 11 children, 3 sons and 8 daughters.. In 1901 the family came to America ... to McCook NE... and then to Loveland CO....
Brother Gettman died 31 Mar at 9 in the morning. ...survived by one son, George Gettman of McCook NE, and 3 daughters: Mrs. Jake Brehm in Hastings NE, Mrs. Jacob Fahrenbruch in McCook NE and Mrs. Conrad Trupp in Denver CO... he was 99.04.12. ...bur 2 Apr...Pastor A.
