Katharina Margaretha Gettmann, wife of George Gettman was born 11 Mar 1849 in Frank, Russia, daughter of Heinrich and Barbara Stroh. As a child she was baptized and when of age, confirmed.
In 1868 she md. George Gettmann. The had 11 children, 3 sons and 8 daughters. In 1901 the family came to America to McCook NE and then to Loveland CO... She died 20 Aug ...survived by herhusband, George Gettman of 65 years...and 4 children: George Gettmann, Mrs.Jacob Fahrenbruch, Mrs. Conrad Trupp of McCook and Mrs. Jacob Brehm ofHastings ... one brother, George Stroh of Scottsbluff and one sister in the homeland (?) ...bur 23 Aug ...Loveland, CO. --G.F.Schmidt, Pastor."
