Mrs. Osterbur was born May 28, 1917, in Nobiskrug, Germany, the daughter of Tjard and Gretchen Ommen Habben. She married Henry Osterbur on Sept. 2, 1939, in Royal. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Lynn (Donita) Osterbur of Royal; and two grandsons, Chad (Renee) Osterbur of Champaign and Christopher (Lisa) Osterbur of Ballwin, Mo.
Preceded by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
In 1929, Theresa and her family immigrated to the United States and lived in Michigan for one year. The family then moved to Royal, where she lived for the rest of her life. She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Charleston Teachers College for a short time. Theresa taught church summer school for many in the German language.
Theresa was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the church choir, where she met her husband of 67 years. She loved spending time with her grandsons and family.
