He was born June 13, 1926 in Kimball Township to the late George and Dorothy (nee: Wehrwein) Langolf.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II. He retired from Mueller Brass after 42 years and was formerly employed in the warehouse at Sears, Roebuck and Company, Port Huron. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the Marysville American Legion Post #449. John enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, three children, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, one brother and three sisters. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kay Hamilton.
Graveside service with military honors will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI.
