She was born in Carthage, Missouri as Elizabeth Turner. She married Lynn B. Reeves on July 5, 1944. It was the only marriage for both. She was a housekeeper for Lake Lawn Motel and Lynn was a construction worker. Both of them were retired. Elizabeth died at age 69 in 1984 with cancer and was buried in Tower Hill Cemetary and her husband died four years later at the age of 81 and is also buried in the same cemetery in Tower Hill, Illinois.
