Anna Herbst, 96, a resident of the Extended Care Unit of the Park Falls Memorial Hospital, passed away on March 18 after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held from St. Anthony's Catholic Church with interment in Nola Cemetery. Anna was born July 20, 1877 in Germany and came to this area at the age of nine. On Sept. 5, 1898, she was married to Charles Herbst at Fifield. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Women. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Warren (Agnes) Liebelt and Mrs. George (Louise) Leitl, both of Park Falls; three sons, Charles J. and Paul, both of Fifield, and Alfred of Park Falls; one sister, Mrs. Mary Weiss of Park Falls; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
