Loys married at the tender age of 16, but soon became the backbone of the Raney family, yet gentle as the golden thread that tied their family together.
Loys and her husband Wayne, spent most of their 51 years together, working and traveling across the United States with their 3 children, before settling in Concord, Arkansas in the early 1960’s. Together they built and operated the Rimrock Recording Studio and MFG. Co until they retired in the mid 1970’s.
Loys loved taking care of her yard and flowers and going to church and being with her church family and friends. She will always be remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
Loys is preceded in death by her parents.. Also her husband Wayne Raney, a daughter Norma (Raney) Hodge and one brother, Chester Southerland
Survivors include, one son Zyndall Raney of Drasco, Arkansas and Mary Ann Raney, one daughter Wanda Sutherland and her husband Morris of Concord, Arkansas. Also
6 Grandchildren: Jeff Raney, Jon Raney, Angela (Raney) Dugger, Tim Hodge Brien Sutherland, Shannon (Sutherland) Bolser. Also 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
She is also survived by 2 brothers, Milburn Southerland of Tumbling Shoals and Wildred Southerland of Ida, 2 sisters, Lorece Ezell of Deland, Florida and Alma Cannon of Drasco, along with several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Drasco General Baptist Church and funeral services will be at the church at 2:00 P.M. by Bro. Billy Henderson and Bro Paul Johnson. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
