Norma Jean Raney Hodge, 55, of Gainesboro, Arkansas died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 in Batesville.

She was born July 11, 1951 in Heber Springs, the daughter of Wayne Raney and Loys O. (Southerland) Raney.

Norma graduated in 1970 from Concord High School. She was a beautician for 30 years. She was also a successful real estate broker in the Batesville area for many years. She was employed as a real estate agent at Hughes & Tuggle Real Estate Agency in Batesville prior to becoming owner/broker of the Property Shoppe Realty. She was recognized by the Arkansas Board of Realtors as a lifetime million dollar producer, and was the secretary-treasurer of the Batesville Board of Realtors in 2001.

She is survived by her husband James N. Hodge of Gainesboro; mother, Loys O. (Southerland) Raney of Drasco; son, Tim Hodge, and his wife Theresa of Gainesboro; brother, Zyndall Raney of Drasco; sister, Wanda Sutherland of Concord; grandchild, Landen J. Hodge of Gainesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; two children, Tamatha Jean Hodge and Terry Wayne Hodge.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 7, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, officiated by Stefan Eubanks.

Interment will be in Woods Cemetery in Gainesboro by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. (870) 793-4161

Pallbearers are Landen Hodge, Jason Qualls, Gary Lynn Hodge, Chris Rounds, Jon Raney, Jeff Raney and Brien Sutherland.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 6 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
